In 2010 I had a brief encounter with Dinah Lenney when she was invited to be a mentor in the Loft Literary Center's Mentor Series, a replacement for Judith Kitchen who had breast cancer. I got to work with Dinah over a long weekend and learned so much from her.
Fast forward five years: Dinah emailed me, asking if she could include one of my essays in an anthology from Norton. My truth/fiction essay, "What Didn't Happen," is now forthcoming in the anthology, Brief Encounters: A Collection of Contemporary Nonfiction, which she edited with Judith Kitchen (who passed away earlier this year).
I am beyond thrilled to be part of this collection and will share this review from Publishers Weekly--the first review to include my name.
